The birth of Sptebik stems from founder Cheng Kwan-chung's deep insight into the electric bicycle market. As an experienced bicycle mechanic and manufacturer, Cheng noticed a lack of affordable electric bicycles with high-quality parts and durable materials in the market. At the time, most entry-level electric bicycles were priced over 300,000 yen, beyond the budget of many consumers. Cheng saw that the potential of electric bicycles was not being fully utilized, especially the environmental protection, convenience and health benefits.
Zheng believed that electric bicycles should not be a luxury item for the few, but an everyday means of transportation that everyone can afford. He saw the potential to produce electric bicycles with great performance at an affordable price through optimizing the supply chain, adopting efficient production methods, and using high-quality materials. His goal was to enable more people to experience the convenience and fun that electric bicycles bring, without having to pay high prices to do so.
Furthermore, through the popularization of electric bicycles, Cheng wanted to reduce people's reliance on cars, thereby reducing traffic congestion, air pollution and energy consumption. He believed that electric bicycles were not just a means of transportation, but part of a sustainable lifestyle.
